With over 19 years of experience I offer well-seasoned expert advice in the planning, managing, developing, testing, and supporting of information processing systems in a variety of service and manufacturing industries. That experience includes years of hands-on development of computer software (using a number of languages) along with the design and manufacture of computer hardware. This rich and diverse background enables me to provide a very unique, deep, and practical knowledge base that is rare and insightful.

Continuous Improvement

As technology ever improves by getting faster, smaller, cheaper, and greener: the issues around successfully integrating and adopting technology within an organization remain constant. One can study the work of Fredrick Taylor, a mechanical engineer from the 19th century, to see that methodologies to improve productivity have been around for a long time.

While Mr. Taylor's work was focused on manufacturing, where raw materials are processed into finished products, the same approaches can be applied to the handling of knowledge. Using work flow analysis the knowledge processing steps required to run an organization can be inventoried, documented, and examined for simplification opportunities.

Training Materials and Technical Document Development

A key element to any success is communication. With years of experience developing and delivering traditional classroom material, writing reference manuals, running workshops, and providing one-on-one tutoring I can provide the needed knowledge transfer. I have also prepared specialty documents such as SRED and US Patent applications. A successful project needs to be tied together with the right package of documentation and training materials!
